Milan talk to include tips about Mobius top awards

Now that the Mobius Awards winners are announced, chairman Lee Gluckman is heading out for his favorite part of the competition: meeting the Best of Show winners on their home turf and discussing the Mobius competition, including a talk in Milan on “Come diavolo si fa a vincere al Mobius - How the hell I could win the Mobius Grand Prix?”

His trek to deliver the top awards to the winners will take him from Los Angeles to Spain, UK, Germany, Australia, France and finally Singapore. While in Paris, aside from meeting with a Mobius winner, he’ll also carry out duties for one of the other hats he wears, as president of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals, where he will speak at the new Deauville Green Awards Film Festival.

Gluckman starts off March 12 in Logroño, Spain, visiting Sidecar, which won BOS (Best of Show/Grand Prix) in Packaging for Siete Pecados (Seven Deadly Sins).

From there, he will go to London where on March 16 he will present the Mobius Photographer of the Year Award to Adam Hinton. Joining in the presentation will be author Lewis Blackwell, who was the lead judge for this part of the competition. Next, he visit Hamburg to present to kempertrautmann, which had six nominations for Best of Show and won two of them, Integrated and Logo and was also the agency winning the most Mobius Awards. This event is scheduled for March 20.

Next is Milan, where Gluckman will do a Mobius Event at Nuova Accademia Di Belle Arti Milano (NABA) for creatives in this advertising center. He was invited to NABA by Sergio Spaccavento, a professor at the school. The presentation is planned for March 22 at 6 p.m. and will include a look at the Grand Prix winners and a discussion of the attributes of winners.

After that, he briefly returns to Los Angeles, and then heads to Melbourne, Australia, and a presentation for OgilvyOne, which won BOS in Direct. He has meetings in Sydney on March 30, and then it is back home.

On April 9, Gluckman will be off to Paris where he will represent CIFFT, the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals, at the Deauville Green Awards Film Festival and meet with Mobius BOS winner at BETC Euro RSCG, which was tops in Online with “Borgia.”

April 23, he travels to Singapore to present at Lowe & Partners on the 25th. Lowe won Best of Show in Radio. During this visit, he also will speak to classes at the School of Design, Temasek Polytechnic.
