CANADIAN COMPANIES WIN 11 INTERNATIONAL ADVERTISING AWARDS

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA – Canadian creatives won 11 awards in the 2006 international Mobius Awards, including a double First Place by Cundari Group Ltd., of Toronto.

Cundari won First Place Golden Statuettes in Television and Trade Publications for “Time to Deliver” in the Charitable Organizations category for client World AIDS Organization and for “Use It Now” in the Healthcare category for client Sensodyne.

Arc Worldwide, Canada, a Leo Burnett company, won a Mobius in Professional Services-Online and a Second Place Certificate of Excellence in Image Building-Online for “Big Ideas Come Out Of Big Pencils.”

TAXI Canada Inc., Toronto, won First Place for its “World of Comedy” Television Campaign, and a Certificate of Creative Excellence for “More To Move To” Print Campaign for FLOW 93.5.

Imported Artists, Toronto, won First Place in E-Commerce-Television for “The Accident,” done for Tiger Gaming, and Marketel, Montreal, won First Place for “The Games” Print Campaign done for Quebec Coalition Against AIDS.

Winning single Certificates of Creative Excellence were:

RED Communications, Edmonton, in Book/Brochure for “Edmonton Festival City Book,” done for Edmonton Tourism;

Karacters Design Group/DDB Canada, Vancouver, for its Print Image Building “Karacters Design Group Stationery”;

and, Chuck Gammage Animation, Toronto, for “Sport in a Box” Television Campaign for United Nations for Canada.

The competition, which is in its 36th year, attracted entries from 35 countries and gave out 143 Mobius awards, 128 Certificates and 10 student awards. Germany took the most awards, 97, followed by the United States with 88 and United Kingdom with 29.
