DANISH AD AGENCIES SCORE 7 INTERNATIONAL AWARDS

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA – A Danish agency has won two First Place Mobius awards and three Second Place Certificates of Creative Excellence in the 2006 international Mobius Awards competition. Two other companies also won the First Place Gold Statuettes.

Scanad, located in Aarhus, won in Television for “The Goalkeeper” for the sports chain Sportigan, directed by Fredrik Callinggard, and for the film campaign "Kohberg Omega-3," directed by Kenneth Egholm. Both works were produced by Locomotion.

The second places were in low budget films with "The Audience" for Copenhagen Theaters, directed by Erik Refner, and for a poster campaign for Aarhus Night of Culture and the "More Live than Reality" print campaign for Copenhagen Theatres.

Uncle Grey in Aarhus took a Gold First Place award in Television for the much-awarded Fakta film campaign, directed by Jan Gleie and produced by Lassie Film.

Saatchi & Saatchi Copenhagen took a Gold First Place in Mixed Media with the campaign for Sprite Zero Nordic. This campaign has already taken several top honours. The film part was directed by Jonas Arnby and produced by Moland Film.

Mobius received some 5,100 entries from 35 countries and only 143 golds and 128 second places were awarded. The four Golds and three Second Places are the best Danish result ever at Mobius Awards.

Ole Todbjerg of Media Monitor Denmark in Copenhagen represents Mobius in Denmark.

The competition is in its 36th year. Germany took the most awards, 97, followed by the United States with 88 and United Kingdom with 29.
