CAMPBELL-EWALD LEADS U.S. AGENCIES IN INTERNATIONAL AWARDS
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA – U.S. agencies, led by Campbell-Ewald Advertising, captured 85 awards in the 2006 International Mobius Awards competition. Students at The College for Creative Studies in Detroit won three awards in Television and Print in the new Student category.
Campbell-Ewald, Warren, Mich., won 12 first place Mobius golden statuettes in the Television, Print Advertising, Mixed Media, Direct and Outdoor Advertising mediums. Campbell-Ewald also won eight Second Place Certificates for Outstanding Creativity for work in the Book/Brochure, Outdoor Advertising, Print Advertising, Point of Purchase and Television categories.
The Campbell-Ewald winning works were done for Alltel, Little Rock, Ark., General Motors, U.S. Navy, Kaiser Permanente, Michigan Opera Theater & The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, National City in Cleveland, United States Postal Service, Michelin,
Winning five Mobius first place statuettes and three Second Place Certificates, all in Television, was RhinoFX of New York. The work was for Mercedes, Fidelity, The Richard’s Group and in conjunction with BBDO Detroit, Lowe Worldwide and Arnold Worldwide.
Grey Worldwide of New York won three First Place and two Certificates in Television. Work was for Kmart, Dairy Queen, Pantene, Hurricane Relief/US Department of Health and Human Services and Frontier Airlines.
Also winning multiple awards were:
- Hornall Anderson Design Works, Seattle, Wash., with two Mobius awards in Package Design and Book/Brochure, and three Certificates in the same mediums, for Millennium, Beverly Hills, Calif., AMES International, Fife, Wash., Schnitzer Northwest and Jobster, Seattle, and CitationShares, Greenwich, Conn.
- Production company foreignfilms, New York, two Mobius awards and two Certificates, all in Television; for Mercedes Benz, Bacardi and The Clorox Co.;
- G2 of Morganville, N.J., two Mobius statuettes in the Book/Brochure category for work for its own company;
- BVK of Milwaukee, Wis., a two First Place awards and a Certificate in Television, for Inova Health System;
- Lou Beres & Associates, Chicago, Ill., a Mobius in Television and a Mobius in Print and three Certificates in Mixed Media, Radio and Television for clients the American Medical Association and Omron Blood Pressure Monitors;
- Arnold Worldwide, Boston, Mass., a Mobius in Television and five Certificates, in Print Advertising, Mixed Media and Point of Purchase, for American Legacy Foundation and Timberland;
- Hawthorne Direct won a Mobius and a Certificate in Television;
- RMG Connect, Minneapolis, Minn., a Mobius and a Certificate in Mixed Media for 3M MRO (Maintenance and Repair) Markets, St. Paul.
The following companies won one Mobius award:

- Duck Studios, Los Angeles, in Television-Animation-Non-computer for United Airlines;
- Threshold Marketing, Marina Del Rey, Calif., Online Advertising for Nestlé;
- Skidmore Inc., Royal Oak, Mich., Book/Brochure for Harley Ellis Devereaux architecture firm;
- Wunderman-Chicago, Chicago, Ill., in Direct Mail, for Burger King;
- Launch Creative Marketing, Chicago, Ill., for World Kitchen; and World Wrestling Entertainment, Stamford, Conn., Package Design.
IMI Marketing, Greenville, S.C., won two Certificates of Creative Excellence in Book/Brochure for client The Cliffs Communities, Travelers Rest, S.C.
Winning individual Second Place Certificates were The Designory, Long Beach, Calif., Book/Brochure, for Infiniti; Levenson & Hill, Dallas, Tex., Mixed Media for Great Wide, Las Lolinas, Tex., Jones Advertising, Seattle, Wash., Radio for Washington State Traffic Safety; Williams-Labadie, Chicago, Online Advertising for Oscient Pharmaceuticals Corp.; i4Design, Chicago, for Fruit Twistables, and Zunda, Norwalk, Conn., for Cutex Nail Polish, Packaging Redesign; Pearlfisher, New York, for Carmenere, and Diamond Packaging, Rochester, N.Y., for Redken Laboratories Inc, Package Design, and Fitness Quest Inc., Canton, Ohio, for Bioforce TNT System, and The Hal Lewis Group, Philadelphia, for Ariad Pharmaceuticals, Television.
The competition, which is in its 36th year, attracted entries from 35 countries and gave out 143 Mobius awards, 128 Certificates and 10 student awards. Germany took the most awards, 97, followed by the United States with 88 and the United Kingdom with 29.
