ST. PAT’S CARD A WINNER FOR CLEAR CHANNEL GROUP

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. -- An electronic St. Patrick’s Day greeting card created for Clear Channel’s Progressive Talk and Rock Radio stations has won a First Place in the Mobius Awards in advertising. The “Republichauns” card, which won in New Media-Other, was developed by Clear Channel Creative Services Group, Atlanta. The audio track from the card was used on-air across the Clear Channel network of local stations with more than 110 million listeners weekly.

The Mobius Awards is an international competition in its 37th year. It drew entrants from 35 countries. The two other winners in New Media-Other category were from Germany. First Place winners receive a Golden Statuette in the design of a mobius strip.

Clear Channel Creative Services Group aids advertising agencies and local stations in developing advertising campaigns, coaching and online toolkits and provides direction in the creation of radio ads. Mike O’Connor was producer on the card project. Geoff Kirsch and Roger King were its writers; Rich Moyer provided animation and Richard Florence, the artwork. Audio production and voice were by Roger King.
