UK agencies capture 27 awards in Mobius competition

LOS ANGELES, CALIF., USA – Love agency in Manchester has won a Best of Show award in the 2007 Mobius Awards for advertising for its "Goo Goo Gaa Gaa" catalog book for Silver Cross prams.

Love also won a First Place award for “Goo Goo Gaa Gaa” and a Certificate of Creative Excellence for “Love Book.” Love was among 12 UK agencies that won 18 first place awards and eight second place certificates in the international competition.

Williams Murray Hamm, London, won a First Place Mobius award and a nomination for Best of Show for its Mixed Media Campaign, “Eforia,” for Syngenta agrichemical company in Switzerland. It also won two First Place Mobius awards in Package Design, for clients Barilla, Parma, Italy, and Moet Hennessey, London. The company received a Certificate in Package Design for Jing Tea.

Pure Equator, Nottingham, won a First Place Mobius in Package Design and a nomination for Best of Show in Package Design for a design for Waitrose’s chocochic. Design Bridge won a First Place Mobius and a nomination for Best of Show in Package Design for Farm Frites snacks.

Mark Denton Designs and P&W Design Consultants, both based in London, won four awards each. Mark Denton’s awards were a First Place Mobius award in Print for “Lucha Loco Press Campaign” and a Certificate in Brochure/Book, both for Therapy Publishing’s photography book on Mexican wrestling. The company also won two First Place Mobius awards for stationery and logos for Therapy.

P&W Consultants won First Place in Print for design of stationery and a Certificate in Package Design for Olly washing powders, and two Firsts in Package Design for client Tesco.

Winning two awards each were: Like A River Brand Agency, Manchester, and The Gate, Canvas Media and Ziggurat Brands, London. Like a River won First Place Mobius awards in Book/Brochure for self-promotion materials and in Direct Mail for its Christmas gift mailer. The Gate won First Place Mobius awards in Billboard for a design for The Royal British Legion and in Print for work done for Recovering Workaholics.

Canvas Media received a First Place Mobius in Radio for a spot for Brantano and a Certificate in New Media-Virals for client Sony Pictures. Ziggurat won First in Package Redesign for Munchy Seeds and a Certificate in Package Design for Higgidy products.

Dew Gibbons, London, won a Certificate in Print for stationery for Olivia Smith Gardening. Global Radio Midlands received a Certificate in Radio for a spot for Bristol Domestic Abuse Services.
