GERMANY, U.S. TIE FOR MOST ‘BEST’ WINS AT MOBIUS AWARDS
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – The 37th international Mobius Awards for Advertising gave out 11 Best of Show awards at its Jan. 28 awards presentation in Hollywood. German companies won three, U.S. companies won three and the other winners came from France, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Denmark and Belgium.
The winners and their clients are:
Television: BETC Euro RSCG, Paris, for an AIDS education production for INPES, Paris;
Cinema/In-flight: Arnold, USA, “Singing Cowboy” public service announcement raising awareness of how smoking affects health done for American Legacy Foundation/Truth;
Tied for “Best” in Print: Zinnobergruen, Germany, for CHROMOLUX fine paper, and Grabarz & Partner, Germany, “100% Campaign” for Farbraum Digital Art;
Outdoor: DDB Germany Dusseldorf, Germany, “Pattex Ambient 3D Vase” for Pattex Glue;
Brochure/Books: Love, Manchester, U.K., for "Goo Goo Gaa Gaa" catalog for Silver Cross prams;
Direct: Davis Harrison Dion, Chicago, for "Celebrate Chicago Direct Mail Series" for the Chicago Convention and Tourism Board;
Package Design: Chi Mei Fine Art Ltd., Taiwan, for Chi-Mei Classical Music;
Mixed Media: Saatchi & Saatchi, Copenhagen, Denmark, for Quiksilver "Original Thinking" Campaign for Quiksilver Apparel and Accessories;
Online: DUBOIS meets FUGGER, Antwerp, Belgium for its company website promotion, “Benny the Brave”;
New Media: DDB Chicago, “Swear Jar” for Anheuser-Busch Budweiser.
The winners were selected by judges from 12 countries.
