AREA CREATIVES WIN 8 MOBIUS AWARDS, 2 BOS NOMINATIONS
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – DDB Chicago has won four First Place Golden Statuettes and a Best of Show nomination in the 2008 Mobius Awards international advertising competition.
Other area creatives took four more awards.
The DDB agency received First Place awards for “Clydesdale Team” in Mixed Media Campaign and for “Opera Wave” in Television, both done for Anheuser-Busch. It won a First Place for “Mythic Creatures” Mixed Media Campaign for Chicago’s Field Museum. The museum entry also was nominated for Best of Show in Mixed Media.
DDB won a Second Place Certificate Award in Television for “Victory” for McDonald’s.
Campbell-Ewald, Warren, Mich., won two First Place Mobius Golden Statuettes. One was in Television for “Drowned Circus,” “Stolen Car,” “Neighbors” campaign for client Farmers Insurance. The company won First Place in Mixed Media Campaigns/Integrated for the Kaiser Permanente “Best of Kaiser” campaign, which was also selected a Best of Show nominee.
Arc Worldwide, Chicago, won a First Place for “Feed the Senses” for Nestle Purina in Online-Website: Flash. It captured two Second Place Certificate Awards, in Website: Flash for www.MathMovesU.com, Raytheon Company, and in Mixed Media Campaigns/Integrated for “Hulk” for Symantec.
A Second Place Certificate in Mixed Media was won by Lou Beres & Associates for its “American Medical Association-Voice for the Uninsured Campaign.”
Mobius Awards, an international competition in its 38th year, drew entrants from 33 countries. The competition awarded 105 First Place Mobius Statuettes, 114 Second Place Certificates and four Student Certificates.
Best of Show winners will be announced Feb. 3 on www.mobiusawards.com.
