ROMANIAN AD AGENCY WINS IN MOBIUS FOR GREENPEACE WORK
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. USA – A Romanian advertising agency has won a Second Place award in the 2009 international Mobius Awards competition.
Next Advertising, Bucharest, received a Second Place Certificate for Outstanding Creativity in Direct for “Thermo Mug.” The award came in the Environment: Environmental Issues & Concerns category. The work was done for Greenpeace. When hot liquid was added to the mug, the white bear on the mug appeared to disappear and reveal the message: “Global warming kills.” The mugs were given away as Christmas gifts and promotional items and were sold on the website.
The overall competition recognized competitors with 93 First Place Mobius Award golden statuettes, 105 Second Place Certificates of Outstanding Creativity, and 13 Student Awards. Twenty-nine countries participated and 20 produced winners in the 39th annual awards competition.
