German agencies capture 59 awards in Mobius advertising competition
LOS ANGELES, CALIF., USA –German advertising agencies received five Best of Show Awards in the 2010 international Mobius Awards competition. The agencies, , led by Serviceplan, also won 59 regular awards, including 27 first place Mobius statuettes.
Serviceplan, Munich, won Best of Show in Cinema/In-Flight and three First Place Statuettes for “BMW Flash-Projection” and another First Place for “The Stickiest Ad in the World” in Television. Two First Place Statuettes were won for “Cat” in Print-Consumer Magazine and for “Lego Signs” in Online-Other. The agency received two more Statuettes for “Audio Annual Report” in Brochure/Book and for “The Cannibal Restaurant” in Direct. “The Cannibal Restaurant” also won Best of Show.
The agency won Certificates for “Stupidness” Campaign in Radio; “The BMW Light Wall-Reflection” in Outdoor-Billboard; “Lego Signs” in Brochure/Book; “The Real Watermark” Campaign in New Media-Virals; “BMW Motorbike S1000RR” and “Unclickable” in Online-Banners, Pop-Up; “Welcome to Planet Power” in Mixed Media; “25,000 United – The Largest Tarpaulin in the World” in New Media-Other; “Recycle Bin Banner” in Online-Other, and “Dr. Moeller’s Quince Brandy” in Package Design.
Heimat, Berlin, won seven First Place Statuettes, including three for CNN “Go Beyond Borders” in Outdoor-Other. “Faces” for Hornbach won Best of Show, three Statuettes and a Second Place Certificate in Television. “The Infinite House,” also for Hornbach, won a First Place Statuette and two Certificates in Cinema & In-Flight. Heimat also won a Certificate in Mixed Media for “Making it Your Project!” for Hornbach.
Winning two Statuettes and two Certificates was Leo Burnett , Frankfurt, for Frankfurt Food Bank “Trojan Bottles” in Direct and Outdoor-Other. Grimm Gallun Holtappels Hamburg, captured Best of Show and two First Place Statuettes for “Hidden Heroes,” and Certificates for “MYKUH.COM” and “Grimm Galluns Holtappels Website,” all in Online-Website: Flash.
Grabarz & Partner, Hamburg, won a Mobius Award for “Silent Messages” Campaign in Print-Consumer Magazine, as well as a Certificate in Outdoor-Billboard, and a First Place Statuette for IKEA “Unbox the Banner” Campaign in Online-Banners, Pop-Ups, Etc.
Kolle Rebbe, Hamburg, captured a First Place in Television for “The Greatest Operas of All Time” Campaign, and Certificates for “Borkebjs: The Return of the Monsters” in Brochure/Book; “Dust Catcher” in Direct; “Guided Tours Through Great Art” Campaign in Print-Poster; “The Chip” in Online-Other, and “Traffic News” in Radio.
Euro RSCG Duesseldorf captured a First Place Statuette for “Autumn Calendar 2010” in Point-of-Purchase and two Certificates for “Electric Horse” in Photography and in Print-Poster.
Saatchi & Saatchi Dusseldorf won a First Place Award for “Change in Perspective” Campaign in Photography and a Certificate for “Scrollbroaaaar” in Online-Banners, Pop-Up, Etc.
Scholz & Volkmer , Wiesbaden, received a First Place for “Mammut Safety” in New Media-Mobile Messaging/Marketing, and a Certificate for “Lufthansa A380” in Online-Website: Flash.
Betriebskultur, Stuttgart, won Best of Show and a Mobius First Place award for “Go Longer” in Radio.
Winning a single First Place Award were FutureBrand, Hamburg, for Yalook “Fashion Faces” in Print-Other.
Winning a single Certificate were M.E.C.H. The Communications House Berlin for “The Arrival of the A380” in Print-Newspaper; WINcommunication, Aachen, for “Nespresso Display Windows Moenckebergstarsse” in Point-of-Purchase, and, Young & Rubicam, Frankfurt am Main, for “Stairs” in Television.
The competition’s only Student Award went to Andreas Roth, Ludwigsburg, for “ISHR – Typewriter.”
The competition awarded 56 First Place Mobius Award Golden Statuettes, 63 Second Place Certificates for Outstanding Creativity, and one Student Award. Participating entries came from 33 countries.
