UK agencies win big in Mobius ad competition

LOS ANGELES, CALIF., USA –United Kingdom advertising agencies, led by The Partners and Williams Murray Hamm, captured 14 awards, including two for Best of Show, in the 2010 International Mobius Awards competition.

Williams Murray Hamm, London, won Best of Show in Brochure/Book and a First Place award for “Seemed like a Good Idea at the Time – Second Edition.” The work was a self-promotional booklet.

William Murray Hamm also won a First Place Golden Statuette in Package Design for “Absolut – Flavour of the Tropics.”

The Partners, London, captured Best of Show and two additional First Place Awards for “Fine Cell Work Identity,” done for Fine Cell Work. It also won a First Place Mobius Award for “Digital_Links Identity,” which was nominated for Best of Show in Print. The agency received a Second Place Certificate of Outstanding Creativity for another self-promotion, “Summer BBQ Party,” in Print-Poster.

Winning a First Place Mobius Award were Canvas Media (Global Radio), London, for the radio campaign “Lost Takeover” for Disney, London.

Coley Porter Bell, London, received a Best of Show nomination and a First Place in Package Design for “Inish Turk Beg – Seafood Range, Bacon Range.”

Design Bridge, London, won a First Place in “Kapti” in Package Design (on behalf of its Singapore office). The project was for Fonterra Brands (Tip Top Ltd), Auckland.

Elmwood, Leeds, won First Place in Print for “Colmar Brunton.

Leo Burnett, London, captured a Second Place Certificate for Outstanding Creativity for “McDonald’s Picadilly Sign” in Outdoor-Digital Displays.

Jack Morton Worldwide, London, won a Second Place Certificate for Outstanding Creativity for “Nokia N8 Foosball fever-the greatest game ever played?” in New Media-Virals.

Mobius awarded 56 First Place Statuettes, 63 Second Place certificates for Outstanding Creativity, and one Student Award. Entries came from 33 countries, and 15 produced winners in this 40th annual competition.
