U.S. agencies win big in Mobius ad competition
LOS ANGELES, CALIF., USA –U.S. advertising and design agencies, led by Turner Duckworth, San Francisco, captured A Best of Show award, three nominations for Best of Show and 14 awards in the 2010 International Mobius Awards competition.
Turner Duckworth won Best of Show and a First Place Mobius in Package Design for “Coca-Cola 2010 Winter Olympics Packaging & Premiums.” The agency also won a First Place in Package Design for “Coca-Cola Summer 2010 Packaging” and for “Miracle Whip Redesign.” It shared the Miracle Whip win with its London office.
The agency also took a Second Place Certificate of Outstanding Creativity for “Waitrose Regional Pizzas” in Package Design.
Duck Studios, Los Angeles, received a Best of Show nomination and a First Place for “Children’s Medical Center” Campaign in Television.
Tahitian Noni International, Provo, Utah, won a First Place for “Tahitian Noni” in Package Redesign.
Seven other agencies won Second Place Certificates:
Wallace Church Inc., New York, won for “2010 Tuna Party Invite” and “2010 US Open Ticket Invite,” both in Print-Other and done for Wallace Church;
Animal Logic, Santa Monica, won for Acura “Engine Parts: in Television-Technique: Special FX;
Arnold Worldwide, Boston, for “Light Write” in New Media-Other: Public Service Announcements;
Casanova Pendrill, New York, for “Kid” for UNICEF USA in Outdoor-Other;
DDB Chicago, Chicago, for “Clothing Drive” in New Media-Virals, done for AB-InBev, St. Louis, Mo.;
Fire Station Agency, Los Angeles, for “Get Crackin’ Website” in Online-Website, Non-Flash, done for Paramount Farms, Los Angeles;
The Concept Farm, New York, for “Being a Woman is Not a Pre-existing Condition” in New Media-Social Networking, done for National Women's Law Center, Washington, D.C..
Mobius awarded 56 First Place Mobius Award Golden Statuettes, 63 Second Place Certificates for Outstanding Creativity, and one Student Award. Participating entries came from 33 countries and 15 produced winners in this 40th annual competition.
