U.S. ad agencies score 16 awards in Mobius competition
U.S. creatives led by Arnold Worldwide have won 15 awards, including 10 first places, in the 2011 International Mobius Awards competition.
Arnold Worldwide, Boston, Mass., won a First Place Mobius for “Tennessee Honey” in Integrated Campaigns-Food, Beverages, and for “Shards O’ Glass,” “Spheres,” “Recall” Campaign in Television-Public Service Announcement. The firm also captured a Second Place Certificate for Outstanding Creativity in Online for “Unsweetened Truth” Website.
Turner Duckworth: London and San Francisco, earned a First Place for “The Glenlivet Founders Reserve Special Release” in Package Design-Food, Beverages, and won Certificates for “Waitrose-Good To Go” in Package Design and “Coca-Cola Summer 2011 Packaging” in Logo.
Winning First Place statuettes were PHD, New York, for “Animal Planet River Monsters Mimicry Overlay” in Online-Entertainment Media; Scratch (Viacom Media Networks), New York, for “That’s How You Drop It” in New Media-Food, Beverages; CF Napa, Napa, Calif., for “High Roller” in Package Design-Food, Beverages; Euro RSCG, New York, for “Torturer” in Television-Editing; HBO, New York, for “Sex and the City” in Package Design-Entertainment Media; OMD, New York, for “The Franchise Fan Cave Catch” in New Media-Specialty; Walt Disney Parks Parks & Resorts, Disney Destinations Marketing, Glendale, Calif., for Let the Memories Begin: “Hugs,” “Tell Them,” “Gift” Campaign in Direct-Recreation, Leisure & Travel.
Capturing a Second Place Certificate in Package Design-Food, Beverages was Hornall Anderson, Seattle, Wash., for “Starbucks VIA Multiserve Packaging.”
The overall competition recognized competitors with 65 First Place Mobius Award Golden Statuettes, 55 Second Place Certificates for Outstanding Creativity, three Student Certificates and one Certificate for Spec work. Twenty countries produced winners in the 41st annual competition, which drew participating entries from 29 countries.
